Citizens of Serbia and (FYR) Macedonia will in the future cross the border between the two states with biometric ID cards only, based on the agreement signed by the two countries’ foreign ministers Ivica Dacic and Gordana
Jankulovska on Monday reports EMG.
After the Agreement on the travel conditions for Serbian and (FYR) Macedonian citizens is ratified by the two parliaments, the citizens will be able to cross the border between the two countries without passports, i.e. with biometric identity cards only, Dacic told the press after the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs held in Ohrid (FYR Macedonia).
The two ministers also signed a bilateral Agreement on joint control at the border crossing Goles-Crcorija during the conference, which means that the Serbian and (FYR) Macedonian border policemen will have a joint office there, whereas the citizens will have only one stop between the two border crossings.
