Works on the construction of a 12 million euros worth of factory of Italian company Dytech have commenced in the work zone Donje Medjurovo. The works will be carried out by previously determined steps, in accordance with a memorandum that has been signed with the Italian company.
In the factory, which will span a total of 8,000 square meters, will employ 400 workers for whom a training will be organized before the official commencement of work. The factory is expected to be put in operation in September 2011.
The city of Nis has allotted 2.5 ha of land in Donje Medjurovo work zone for free for the needs of construction of the factory.
On the occasion of the commencement of works on the construction of Dytech factory, the work zone in Donje Medjurovo was visited by Nis Mayor Milos Simonovic and Head of the Local Economic Development Office Milan Randjelovic.
– Having in mind a very quick realization of the agreement, the city of Nis has proved to be a credible partner open for new investments, which will lead to creation of new jobs that Nis and southeast Serbia need the most – the Mayor of Nis said on that occasion.
The city of Nis is the first city in Serbia to prepare an elaborate on land lease in compliance with the new Law on Planning and Construction and on the basis of the Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which prescribes free-of-charge allotment of building land to large investors.
As a form of subvention, the city of Nis has provided an office in the premises of the Business Incubator Center for Dytech, of which management will be able to use it until the completion of construction of the factory in Donje Medjurovo.
