Delta company expects record results in 2020

Delta is ready to enter 2020 and, after 29 years of existence, is now the most ready and expecting record results, Delta founder and president Miroslav Miskovic said at an annual press conference. He said that in 2020 Delta Holding will have EBITDA, ie operating profit of over 65 million euros, which will be the largest operating profit of a company in the region.
Miskovic emphasized that Delta is constantly investing and said that it is the first company in the regions.
“Serbia is small to us, it is no secret, we insist on regional development”, he said.
He announced an agreement to invest in the construction of a shopping mall in Sarajevo, an investment worth between 60 and 80 million euros, and said talks are underway with Skopje in N. Macedonia, where apart from dealing with real estate Delta is also interested in agribusiness. He mentioned the Delta project “Our Village” in which the company assists in the development of the villages of Dubocane and Mala Jasikova, and emphasized that it is important for the state to be involved in the development of the village, because not only companies can do it.
“We want our activities to be a recommendation for other companies to get involved, but the state is basic, as we work, the state should work too”, Miskovic said.
The President of Delta estimated that the main problem in the countryside was knowledge, and then money.
“In the countryside, people produce like 50 years ago, so even a minimum of 5 ha cannot be earned”, Miskovic said. Asked if Delta is welcome in all countries in the region, he said that the company is headed by “does not go where it is not welcomed”.
“We announce ourselves, if we are not welcome, we will not go. Now we have no problems, we are welcome everywhere, we are planning to build another hotel in Slovenia, because we are solving problems there in a flash”, he added.
Delta Holding announced that it had a total turnover of 512 million euros last year, up 4 percent from 2018, while EBITDA reached 44 million euros, an increase of 9 percent. For 2020, Delta Holding plans to grow its total revenue by 13.5 percent to 580 million euros and increase EBITDA to 62 million euros, an increase of 40 percent.
This company paid 97 million euros to the Serbian budget last year, which is 12 percent more than in 2018. Delta Holding plans to complete and open the Indigo Hotel in Belgrade this year and begin construction of the Holiday Inn Hotel in Ljubljana. It will continue with the construction of the future headquarters of the holding company in Belgrade – Delta House, as well as with the construction of the Delta Planet shopping mall in Nis. Over the next few years, the total investment in real estate will amount to around 400 million euros and will enable the construction of 370,000 square meters of hotels and office space.
It has been announced that Delta agrar will start construction of a cold store in Zajecar and a new fruit and vegetable distribution center in Stara Pazova this year, and will invest in new apple plantations. Delta auto sold 2,150 new vehicles last year and launched the new Delta used car brand, while Delta DMD achieved a record-breaking market share of 15.1 percent, it was announced.
It has been announced that Delta Holding will continue to implement the programs “Young Leaders”, “Delta Business Incubator” and “Our Village”, Tanjug reports.
