German Dunkermotoren has signed an agreement with the representatives of Free Industrial Zone in Subotica on the relocation of the production of small venetian blind motors. German manufacturer of small motors has rented a hall at 1,400 square meters and plans to hire 40 people to work in it, while the production is planned to start in January 2011.

Certain number of workers have already been sent to the training in Germany, and soon the team that represents the plant’s management will leave as well.

On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Subotica Mayor Sasa Vucinic pointed out that such investment was important because it created an opportunity for hiring young students of Technical College.

This first wave of investments in Subotica mainly implies the employment of manpower only, which is cheap here, but we expect future investments to contribute to the employment of experts as well, the Mayor emphasized.
