Export of basic foodstuffs from Serbia stopped

The Government of Serbia has issued a Decision temporarily banning the export of basic foodstuffs and hygiene products.
The Serbian government has continued to adopt measures to prevent the spread of coronaviruses.
Considering that there was an increased purchase of basic necessities and hygiene products, the Government members adopted a Decision on temporary ban on the export of basic necessities and hygiene products.
This measure is being introduced by the government to prevent shortages and make the groceries and grocery stores at their disposal at all times.
Also, in order to protect against the introduction of infectious diseases on the territory of Serbia, foreign nationals coming from France, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Spain, Greece and Switzerland will temporarily ban or restrict entry and movement, the Government announced.
The temporary ban on entry into Serbia remains for foreign nationals who have resided in Hubei Province in China, the city of Deng and the North Gyeongsang province of the Republic of Korea.
The ban on temporary entry into Serbia for foreign nationals who have resided in Italy, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Romania remains in force, RTS reports.
