The situation at Elektroprivreda Srbije and other energy companies in Serbia is absolutely stable and there are no problems in functioning and supply, and serious measures are being taken to maintain such situation, said Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic.
Clear procedures of behavior, actions of employees, executives are defined in order to maintain the smooth operation of all energy companies and ensure reliable supply of key energy sources, the minister said after the first meeting of the JP EPS Crisis Staff held today at TPP Nikola Tesla A in Obrenovac.
He stressed that EPS is ready to implement all measures in the fight against virus corona, which will be adopted by President Aleksandar Vucic and the Government of Serbia in the coming period.
The decision to form a Crisis Staff at the ESP level was taken by v. d. director of the company, Milorad Grcic, to continue a stable supply of electricity and limit the spread of the virus corona.
The Minister added that the session of the HQ lasted for two hours and was attended by all key people for electricity generation and distribution, professional people and bodies, trade unions in order to define priority issues and key procedures.
In the coming days, he says, he will continue monitoring all measures and introducing new ones – from solving the issues of transportation of workers, disinfection of buses, enhanced hygiene, defining the work process in all segments and conditions.
We continue to do this on a continuous basis, monitoring, EPS is a serious system that has serious work processes and we will take care of each of those segments, Antic said.
The minister said that Serbia is making every effort to minimize all the negative effects of the disease, protect the health of the population, and that more staffs have been formed to that end, Dnevnik reports.
