Last year, a total of 2,298 tons of honey worth 8,994,900 euros were exported from Serbia, the Association of Beekeeping Organizations of Serbia (SPOS) announced.
At the same time, in that period, only 49 tons of honey were imported, “mostly exotic species”, in the total value of 264,000 euros, it is stated on the SPOS website, eKapija writes.
According to the data of this organization, the export of honey has been growing since 2004, when Serbia received the export number for the export of honey to the EU.
However, last year, 446 tons less honey was exported compared to 2018.
