When the infrastructure projects in Vojvodina that are in progress and that are planned for realization in the near future are added up, we come to investments worth around five billion euros, said the Minister of Construction, Infrastructure and Transport, Zorana Mihajlovic.
Together with the mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, and the acting mayor, Director of PE “Roads of Serbia” Zoran Drobnjak, visited the section of the highway Belgrade-Subotica, near the loop Svrljig, where she said that the part of the highway from Belgrade to Subotica is being rehabilitated about 65 km, that this section is almost completed and that about 11 kilometers left.
“Our task is to create conditions for the roads to be reconstructed and for traffic to be easier and safer throughout the country, and also to create conditions for construction sites on the territory of Serbia to function in this good epidemic,” she said.
Milos Vucevic says that, although the works on the E75 highway currently make traffic a little more difficult, that soon the citizens will have better and higher quality roads, above all safer ones.
“This section is being built towards the city, in the direction of Sirig, which will make the approach to Novi Sad from Hungary or Subotica even more attractive,” said Vucevic, announcing that the citizens will then build a roundabout on the M7 highway, near the factory under construction „Barry Callebaut“ and entire industrial zones on the move.
“It will be one of the largest roundabouts that Novi Sad will get and thus will provide a better flow of traffic for all employees in factories and companies located on Zrenjaninski put, ie at the turn-off for the highway E75, Novi Sad-East,” said Vucevic, Nova reports.
