From the aspect of food safety, Serbia is in a much better situation than five or six years ago, said today the Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic, adding that now the country has capacities, fully equipped laboratories and institutions.
Answering the question of the journalists on TV Prva about the infected hake that was recently found at the Gostun border crossing, Nedimovic said that it was an example of an attempt at criminal activity like any other, emphasizing that the Serbian market is safe.
“As soon as we eventually find something, we will inform as well as for ice cream,” said Nedimovic.
When asked about the payment of milk premiums, and regarding the reactions from Novi Milosev that the subsidies were not paid for a year and a half, the Minister said that the payments are not delayed and that any omission that occurs there, “can only be a matter between milk producers and dairy”.
“We paid for the first quarter, now we are working on the second,” said Nedimovic, RTV reports.
