Rising prices in agricultural production in Serbia in June

Producer prices of agricultural and fishery products in June 2021, compared to the same month in 2020, increased by 30.2 percent, the Republic Bureau of Statistics announced.
Compared to the same month last year, the greatest impact on price growth was recorded in industrial plants, as much as 53.4 percent and in cereals (35.7 percent). Compared to May, the prices of producers of agricultural and fishery products decreased by 1.2 percent on average. The decrease in the prices of vegetables by 21.4 percent in relation to the previous month and industrial plants by 1.7 percent contributed the most to this decrease.
In the first six months of this year, compared to the first six months of last year, producer prices in agriculture increased by 12.7 percent on average, and the prices of producers of industrial plants by 38.5 percent, grain by 27.2 percent and fruit contributed the most by 44.5 percent, Danas reports.
