Serbia’s infrastructure ministry Zorana Mihajlovic said investors have built 55 factories along European transport Corridor X in the country over the past two years.
The government aims to attract new investments and improve the standard of living of its citizens by improving Serbia’s road infrastructure,, Mihajlovic said, as quoted in a statement by the government.
Serbia has completed the construction of roads with a total length of 200 km over the past two years, Mihajlovic said.
Corridor X will connect Salzburg in Austria to the Greek port of Thessaloniki, passing through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia. In Serbia, the project includes the construction of the Belgrade bypass motorway, as well as two separate sections, linking Nis to Levosoje, near the border with Macedonia, to the south, and to the border with Bulgaria to the east.
