Majdanpek municipality is included in the program of subsidies of Serbia for energy efficiency

The municipality of Majdanpek is one of the 67 local self-governments to which the Ministry of Mining and Energy, after a public call, approved funds for financing the program of energy rehabilitation of residential buildings, family houses and apartments. According to the decision of the relevant ministry, the municipality of Majdanpek was approved 85 thousand euros for these purposes, and with the same amount of funds that have been allocated for these purposes in this year’s municipal budget, the local self-government will subsidize the realization of this program.

Interested citizens who want to apply for these funds should meet the conditions and criteria prescribed by the Rulebook on financial support for improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings, family houses and apartments in the municipality of Majdanpek for 2021, which was adopted by the Majdanpek Municipal Council on May 20 this year.

The local self-government will co-finance two measures: procurement and installation of materials for insulation of thermal envelope of buildings and family houses, where the minimum amount of non-refundable funds per application is 850 euros, and the maximum is 4.3 thousand euros, and the municipality’s participation is up to 50 percent with VAT per application. The second measure is the procurement and installation of external windows and doors and other transparent elements of the thermal envelope of apartments and family houses.

The Rulebook contains the conditions that applicants need to meet, the necessary documentation, additional conditions, as well as the criteria for evaluating applications. According to the announcements from the ministry, the Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, will sign agreements in Kraljevo tomorrow with municipalities and cities that have fulfilled the conditions for the realization of projects for raising energy efficiency in households.
