Minister receives CEO of Incheon International Airport

Serbian minister Zorana Mihajlovic met on Thursday in Belgrade President and CEO of South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Joung Chung Il-young.

According to the Serbian government, Mihajlovic, who is in charge transport, infrastructure, and construction, and her guest spoke about “good practices in the development of that airport, that are also applicable to Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla.”

Mihajlovic said that the strategic goal of the Serbian government was for the Belgrade international airport to be developing in the coming years “and to become the fastest growing and most developed in the region.”

Therefore, the government issued a public call for a concessionaire, and this process is in progress, she said, according to the government’s website.

Mihajlovic said that the deadline for submission of binding bids expires in October, when an expert committee will select the concessionaire that is expected to continue and increase investments in the development of the Belgrade airport, and thus achieve the set targets.
