Nikolic, Kitaoka discuss Serbia-Japan cooperation
, NewsPresident of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic spoke in Belgrade Wednesday with the president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Shinichi Kitaoka about the possibilities for development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Nikolic noted the economic cooperation between the two countries is not being used to its full potential and that there is much room for improvement, the presidential press office said in a statement.
Kitaoka agreed with Nikolic, adding that investments in the industry are particularly interesting to Tokyo and that it is ready to cooperate with Serbia on projects regarding environmental protection, in which Japan has a leading position in the world.
Kitaoka offered Serbia help in solving problems caused by the migrant crisis, the statement said.
