PM meets with unhappy raspberry farmers
, NewsRepresentatives of raspberry farmers, and of owners of cold storage facilities, on Thursday in Belgrade held a meeting with Serbian government officials.
The government officials – Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic – acted as mediators in an attempt to reach agreement on “the acceptable price for raspberries,” the government announced.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to set up a working body that will “monitor the formation of prices in domestic and competitive markets in order to make an agreement acceptable to all.”
