Real estate turnover in Serbia increased by 11% in February

According to the data of the Geodetic Authority of Serbia, in February, the real estate turnover in Serbia increased by 17.65 compared to January, and by 10.9 percent compared to last year. Looking at the regions, the data show that the highest growth in real estate turnover was recorded in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia by as much as 23.1% compared to last year.
In March, April and May last year, the market stopped functioning, customers withdrew. After the end of the state of emergency, the interest in buying rural households increased. On the other hand, many who until then wanted to sell real estate in the rural area withdrew.
The Zlatibor district is developing its tourist offer from year to year, thus attracting an increasing number of buyers from the country and abroad. Natural beauties, climate and numerous tourist facilities attract tourists and nature lovers to invest in this area.
Real estate turnover increased at the beginning of this year, and in February, compared to the same month last year, it was higher by 50 percent.
The prices of apartments in the central city of Western Serbia, when it comes to new construction, have increased, so a square meter in Uzice ranges from 1,100 to 1,250 euros, and the prices per square meter of older construction from 500 to 800 euros. On Zlatibor, the price per square meter of living space ranges from 1,300 euros per square meter and even over 2,000 euros in apart hotels. In Uzice, the highest demand and the lowest supply of smaller apartments, from 35 to 40 square meters, while at the same time there is a large supply of larger apartments, Nova reports.
