Record amount of money on the real estate market in Serbia

The total volume of funds on the real estate market in Serbia in the third quarter of 2021 amounted to 1.5 billion euros, which is an increase of 27 percent compared to the same quarter in 2020, or 74 percent compared to the third quarter of 2018, it is stated in the new quarterly report of the Republic Geodetic Authority.
The largest share in the total funds in the third quarter – 56 percent had the turnover of apartments 841.1 million euros, of which 524.7 million euros were allocated for apartments in the City of Belgrade.
160.6 million euros (11%) was allocated for residential buildings, 118.1 million euros (8%) for construction land, 58 million euros (4%) for business premises, and 46.1 million euros for agricultural land (3%), the report states.
As it was announced from the Geodetic Authority, the report adds that the total number of sales on the real estate market in the third quarter of 2021 in Serbia is 34,767, which is the maximum for the third quarter in the last four years.
In the third quarter of 2021, the number of sales in the Republic of Serbia is higher by 4.5 percent compared to the third quarter of 2020, and 32.8 percent compared to the third quarter of 2018.
In the third quarter of 2021, compared to the third quarter of 2020, the number of sales in the City of Belgrade increased by 379 contracts (4.9%), Novi Sad by 62 contracts (2.3%) and the City of Nis by 20 contracts (2.1%), and a decrease in Kragujevac by 37 contracts (5.5%), it is added.
Based on the collected data from sales contracts, in the third quarter of 2021, 14 percent of real estate was paid from credit funds, and 86 percent in cash.
In the third quarter of 2021, apartments in the Republic of Serbia were paid for in 32 percent of cases from credit funds, and in 68 percent in cash.
The share of apartments in the total real estate turnover in the Republic of Serbia in the third quarter of 2021 is 28 percent, the same as in the third quarter of 2020.
The turnover of apartments at the state level was higher by nine percent compared to the same quarter last year.
Garage spaces were traded for 30 percent more compared to the same quarter last year.
The turnover of business premises in the third quarter of 2021 was higher by 17 respondents at the state level compared to the same quarter in 2020, Nova reports.
