The price of roaming between the European Union and the countries of the Western Balkans, including Serbia, has been reduced as of today, the Council for Regional Cooperation (RCC) announced.

From October, the upper price limit for 1 GB of data in roaming within special offers and packages, in accordance with the Roaming Declaration between the EU and Western Balkans, should not exceed 18 euros.

In many cases, the price limit of 18 euros within special offers and packages goes significantly lower, to 1.6 euros per 1 GB, while three operators from the Western Balkans, in addition to the prices within the packages, also lowered the regular prices of top-up services.

As stated, three telecommunication operators from Serbia reduced the price of 1 GB within some of their roaming packages in EU countries by up to 83.2 percent. Prices now range between EUR 0.67 and EUR 8.5 per GB within the EU roaming package for users from Serbia, which is significantly below the agreed price ceiling.

The success of the Roaming Declaration between the EU and the Western Balkans testifies to the strength of regional cooperation, which is changing communication for the better, even in the face of complex challenges.
