Serbia has achieved a remarkable result in the decentralized management of IPA funds by signing 143 contracts, the government said in a statement.

The contracts were signed from June 6, 2014, when the Financing Agreement for the National IPA 2013 Program was signed, to June 6 this year.

The government says that this represents “a high rate of contracting of 86.18 percent” and recalls that the total value of these contracts is EUR 130,4 million.

“This is the result of a clear political will, new staffing solutions and a quality coordination of Minister without portfolio in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic and the European Integration Office with the Ministry of Finance and the EU Delegation to Serbia,” the statement said.

The National IPA 2013 Program is the first program to be implemented under the decentralized management of EU funds, and a large number of contracted projects contributes to the fact that Serbia is ready to apply the rules and procedures of the European Union and absorbs funds, at the same time pointing to the strong commitment of all stakeholders.
