Modernization of public administration is one of the primary goals of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and one of the most important priorities of the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, as the bearer of reform processes in our public administration, said Minister Marija Obradovic at a hybrid conference entitled “Modernized Public Administration citizens and society.”
Minister Obradovic pointed out that, despite the circumstances caused by the Covid 19 virus pandemic and the huge fight that the Government of the Republic of Serbia successfully waged, the modernization of the state administration has not been abandoned.
“The public administration, which we strive for, puts the satisfaction of the needs of citizens and the economy at the center of its activities, by providing efficient and increasingly digital public services. One of the most important parts of public administration is the local self-government, which is the closest to the citizens and the first place to turn to in solving everyday problems, but also in exercising a large number of rights and obligations,” Obradovic emphasized.
She especially emphasized the importance of permanent and modern training of state administration staff as one of the priorities of MDULS. With the aim of improving the quality of life of all citizens in local communities and providing support to women at the head of local governments, as well as other civil servants, today the members of the Women’s Network of Mayors and Presidents of Serbia presented a new NAJU platform for e-learning and e -training, which will be available to them 24 hours a day, BizLife reports.
