Serbia and Italy discuss joint projects and improvment of cooperation in infrastructure and renewable energy fields

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti had talks in Rome, discussing the joint projects of the two countries and possibilities of improving the cooperation, especially in the fields of infrastructure and renewable energy sources.

Monti has positively assessed the presence of Fiat and other Italian companies in Serbia. He has expressed hope that Serbia will take part in the Milan Expo 2015, so that the Serbian economy would be properly presented to Italian partners. Nikolic has stressed that the improvement of citizens’ living standard and Serbia’s accession with the EU will be the priorities during his turn at the office. By the end of this year, and beginning of 2013 Serbia will meet all its obligations towards Fiat, said Nikolic.
