Belex15 index slightly dips: NIS leads trading activity

Last week, the Belex15 index, reflecting the most liquid stocks, experienced a marginal decline of 0.2% to settle at 985.5 points, as reported by Momentum Securities brokerage firm today.

Total trading volume reached 63.1 million dinars, equivalent to 500,000 euros, according to Beta.

Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) emerged as the most actively traded stock, with transactions totaling 24.1 million dinars at a price of 817 dinars per share. These shares traded ex-dividend from Friday, potentially prompting further downward price adjustments, following a management proposal for a dividend payout of 64.26 dinars per share.

Energoprojekt Holding also saw significant trading activity after a prolonged period, with transactions amounting to 13.3 million dinars at an unchanged price of 367 dinars. Since its acquisition in 2017 at 1,501 dinars per share, trading in Energoprojekt Holding’s shares has been limited, accompanied by a substantial decline in value.

Dunav Osiguranje shares showed minor price fluctuations within the range of 960-970 dinars, with a modest trading volume of 4.1 million dinars. Meanwhile, Gornjomilanovački Metalac saw its share price decrease by 3.1% to 1,653 dinars. The company held a shareholders’ assembly where it approved a dividend payout of 90 dinars per share.

Among the gainers, PPT Armature (PPTA) stood out with a notable 42.6% increase, reaching 613 dinars per share, with a turnover of 8.8 million dinars.

PPT Armature is distinguished on Belex as one of the few companies without a majority owner, with no shareholder holding more than two percent of total shares.
