The Moravian Corridor, currently under construction, is set to become Serbia’s first “smart” highway, featuring technology that enables direct communication between vehicle software and highway systems. This innovative infrastructure is part of a broader initiative to upgrade Serbia’s entire network of highways.

Telekom Srbija and the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute are leading a project aimed at converting the existing thousand kilometers of Serbia’s major highways into “smart” roads. This project aligns with a new European Commission directive mandating that all new vehicles sold in the EU must be equipped for direct communication with highway software.

The transformation will enhance road safety and efficiency across Serbia, paving the way for a more connected and technologically advanced transportation system.
