The Ministry of Mining and Energy has issued a response to an interview featuring Zorana Mihajlović, published on the Danas.rs portal.

“In light of the assertions made by journalist Zorica Miladinović during an interview with Zorana Mihajlović on the Danas.rs portal, claiming that Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović stated Serbia would have nuclear power plants by 2029, we wish to clarify that Minister Đedović Handanović’s remarks were inaccurately portrayed and quoted.

Minister Dubravka Đedović Handanović specifically addressed Serbia’s civil nuclear program, emphasizing that the potential introduction of nuclear energy constitutes a long-term initiative, with discussions revolving around the year 2039 if groundwork commenced presently. Furthermore, she expressed that an earlier realization of such a project would be beneficial for the nation,” stated the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
