Serbia donates 2 million euros for vaccine development and WHO support

Serbia will donate two million euros to develop a coronavirus vaccine and to support the World Health Organization (WHO) in fighting the pandemic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic said on May 4th.
Brnabic said at the online international conference “Coronavirus Global Response”, initiated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, that one million euros will be earmarked for the development of the vaccine and another one million for WHO.
She emphasized that it is an honor and pleasure for Serbia to participate in this project together with European partners and to contribute to the global efforts to combat the pandemic.
The Prime Minister also said that our country remains committed to partnering with the European Union, and that it will share its scientific knowledge and achievements with European and partners around the world.
Brnabic also expressed her hope that both citizens and national economies would successfully overcome the current crisis, eKapija reports.
