Serbia has established diplomatic relations with East Timor and the Solomon Islands
, NewsThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia announced that Serbia has established diplomatic relations with the Democratic Republic of East Timor and the Solomon Islands.
The statement on diplomatic relations between Serbia and East Timor was signed in New York, on behalf of the governments of the two countries, by the permanent representatives of Serbia and East Timor to the United Nations, Nemanja Stevanovic and Carlito Nunez.
The statement said the countries were guided by a desire to foster mutual understanding and strengthen co-operation in political, economic, tourism, educational, sports, cultural, humanitarian and other areas of common interest.
On behalf of the governments of Serbia and the Solomon Islands, Stevanovic and Chargé d’Affaires Noel Martin Matea signed a joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations on the same day, eKapija reports.
