For the first time, Serbia will be above the European average in the level of the strongest European countries in terms of unemployment rates, the president said.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced that the lowest unemployment rate of 7.5 percent would be announced on Monday, which is a historic result.
– Businessmen were satisfied today, I will now give you two exclusive good news, but it is my job to bring things down to earth and to be rational and objective. How can you not be satisfied, you got three minimum wages, you got a total of one million and 54 thousand workers. After that, you received twice 60 percent of the minimum wage. So which country gave it? Well none. Of all those much richer than Serbia – said Vucic.
Vucic added that he would not talk about supporting the population of 100 euros to every adult citizen, that he would not talk about loans through the development fund that he would not talk about the guarantee scheme through commercial banks “where we already have 1 billion and 300 million euros.”
Vucic said that we have never had fewer unemployed in Serbia in the history of the Republic of Serbia.
– For the first time, Serbia will be above the European average in the level of the strongest European countries in terms of unemployment rates. On Monday, I expect that unemployment rate to fall below 7.5 percent for the second quarter – said Vucic.
The second most important news is that pensions will be increased, Srbija Danas reports.
