The European Horizon 2020 opens big chances for small and medium-sized companies, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Srđan Verbić said in Brussels on the occasion of Serbia’s admission to that European programme, which is aimed at boosting innovations and scientific development. After signing the accession agreement, he said that Serbia would now will be able to take part in the use of the funds, but also in the decision-making process. He explained that as of now and until 2020, Serbian scientists and innovators would have access to funds encouraging innnovations, which funds total almost EUR 80 billion. The programme is also favourable for small and medium-sized companies, which can compete with their projects, said Verbić.
