Prices of primary agricultural products on the domestic market continue to have a negative trend. The biggest price drop this week was recorded for wheat.

Volume turnover at the Product Exchange in Novi Sad was higher compared to the previous week and reached 3,630 tons of goods. The financial value of traded goods amounted to 156,082,750.00 dinars and is 5.48 percent lower.

Less activity was observed on the corn market, both on the supply side and on the demand side. As the week progressed, the price was down due to lack of demand. Corn contracts were concluded in the price range from 33.00 to 34.50 din/kg without VAT. The weighted price was 33.99 dinars/kg without VAT, which is a decrease of 1.95 percent compared to the week before.

The realization of the contract for old-crop corn, which was traded in the price range of 33.30 to 33.50 dinars/kg without VAT, is also recorded, depending on the length of storage and analysis for aflatoxin.

Wheat continues to dominate trade. In contrast to the previous period, when there were most requests for wheat with a protein content of 11.5-12 percent, this week interest was expressed for wheat with a higher protein content of 13 percent.

The price spread between buyers and sellers widened as the week progressed. The contracts were concluded at the beginning of the week at a price of 38.00 din/kg without VAT, and due to the negative price trend, at the end of the week, wheat was realized at a price of 36.50 din/kg without VAT. The weighted price was 37.13 din/kg without VAT (40.84 din/kg with VAT), which represents a drop of 3.03 percent.

The beginning of the week brought more activity in the soybean market. Contracts for soybeans with quality calculation were concluded in the price range from 70.50 to 71.00 dinars/kg without VAT. The absence of demand led to offers at a lower price level at the end of the week, but the interest of buyers was not expressed even then. The weekly weight is 70.92 din/kg without VAT, which is a slight price drop of 0.12 percent.
