The company MTU Aero Engines, which has been operating in Serbia since the end of 2022, announced that last year it had a global revenue of 6.3 billion euros and a profit of 818 million euros.

The German company increased revenues by 19% compared to 2022, while profits increased by 25%. The company predicts that in the business year 2024, it will generate revenue in the amount of 7.3 billion euros.

As announced, the biggest revenue generator for the company is participation in the production of the PW1100G-JM engine for the A320neo aircraft. It is emphasized that the company made more income in the part of its business related to the production of parts for engines than in the part that deals with the repair of their parts (MRO).

The MRO sector generated 20% more revenue compared to last year where the most popular engines for repair were the PW1100G-JM used on A320neo aircraft and the V2500 used on Airbus’ older generation A320s (also used by Air Serbia on its A319/320 fleet ).
