The Gorenje company in Valjevo has announced that 750,000 refrigerators will be produced annually in the new plant, which is under construction, and that the total production in all three plants will reach 1.7 million appliances by 2025.

It was pointed out that 92 percent of the total production is intended for export, which positions this factory on the list of the biggest exporters from Serbia. At the beginning of December, the 10 millionth refrigerator came out of the Gorenje factory in Valjevo. According to the tradition of the factory, this jubilee refrigerator is not intended for sale, but for one of the employees – Mara Veselinovic.

The management of the factory says that this production success is the result of the teamwork of 1,600 employees in the factory, cooperation with trade unions and numerous local suppliers, and that they are extremely proud of the continuous contribution and commitment of all employees during these 16 years of operation of the factory.

Mara Veselinovic, the winner of the jubilee appliance, did not hide her happiness because of the gift she was given:

“I try to give my maximum in my work on a daily basis and I am glad that the company has recognized my efforts. The appliance I got will be useful for my daughter, who became a mother two months ago. I am very grateful to the company for the gift.”

Gorenje has been operating in Valjevo for 16 years, it has 1,600 employees, and it is planning to employ 1,000 more people.

That factory is for Hisense Corporation, which owns it, the centre of production of refrigeration equipment programs – freezers and refrigerators, BizLife reports.
