The price of gas in Serbia will increase by 11 percent from next year, and electricity by less than 10 percent, Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović announced today on her Instagram account.

As stated in the announcement, the electricity price increase for the average household will be below 10 percent, which is less than 300 dinars per monthly bill.

Đedović points out that in the previous two weeks, the price of gas on the global market increased three times.

At the moment, gas in Serbia is among the cheapest for industry and the third most affordable in Europe for households, wrote Đedović and added that the state will continue to subsidize the price of electricity, so the price of electricity in Serbia will be among the lowest in Europe, reports Tanjug.

The minister reminded the citizens that by acting responsibly and reducing consumption, they will achieve a discount for bills of up to 30 percent, Politika reports.
