Loan environment in Serbia was improving, Dun & Bradstreet business service agency emphasized, which allocated Serbia in the group of countries with the moderate business risk. In terms of business risks in the region, Serbia was in the same group with Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Macedonia and Albania. The report of the agency emphasized that National Bank of Serbia (Nbs) responded to the low inflation of 1.6 percent from December 2016 by decreasing interest reference rate to 4.0 percent from 11.25 percent, as it was the case in 2013, but also that the banks in Serbia decreased interest rates to loans, due to large competition.
