In accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of activities aimed at the reorganization of PE Serbiagas, which was recently adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Supervisory Board of this company on Thursday, May 20, 2021, made a decision to transfer 100% Serbiagas’ share from Transportgas Serbia to the state.
Thus, the realization of the Government Action Plan and fulfillment of conditions from the Third Energy Package and the Law on Energy began, all with the aim of creating preconditions for opening cluster four in the process of our country’s accession to the EU, which refers to the green agenda and infrastructural connectivity.
The company Transportgas Serbia was previously separated from the system of PE Serbiagas which this company founded on August 20, 2015.
From October 1, 2019, Transportgas Serbia operates completely independently, and the fact that the company in the previous period, with its customers, directly concluded contracts for the transport of natural gas speaks in favor of that.
By transferring the share from PE Serbiagas to the state, the process of separation of Transportgas Serbia was fully completed and the conditions for acquiring the status of this company as an independent Transport System Operator in terms of legal form, organization and decision-making were provided, Kurir reports.
