Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić will on Monday pay a one-day visit to Germany to attend a panel discussion on Serbia’s path towards the European Union.

It is organized by the Serbia-Germany Forum and the German Foreign Policy Council.

At the panel discussion, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Kori Udovicki – who is also minister of state administration and local self-government – and Minister of Economy Dušan Vujović will speak about comprehensive structural reforms in Serbia.

The event will also be addressed by Bodo Hombach, a former chief of staff of the German chancellor’s office, and Uwe Bergheim, a member of the board of directors at Falke.

Prime Minister Vučić and the members of the Serbian delegation – Deputy Prime Minister Kori Udovički, Minister of Economy Dušan Vujović and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Željko Sertić – will speak to German investors.

Vučić will also meet with former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who recently visited Belgrade to attend the inauguration of the Serbia-Germany Forum as a guest of honor.

He will also speak to Gunther Krichbaum, the chairman of the Bundestag’s Committee on the Affairs of the European Union, the office said in a statement.

The Serbia-Germany Forum was established in Belgrade last April, and the Berlin panel will be the first time it is presented in Germany.

The goal of the panel is to present to the German professional public the intentions and objectives of the new Serbian government in implementing the announced reforms, the organizers say.

Besides the honorary members of the Forum, Ružica Đinđić and German Ambassador to Serbia Heinz Wilhelm, and members of the body’s Council, who include Goran Svilanović and Sonja Liht, the event will also be attended by officials of German ministries and institutions, German parliament members, as well as many members of the German Foreign Policy Council, the statement said.
