In the first seven months of 2011, Serbia generated a USD 820 million surplus in foreign trade in agricultural and food commodities, said Milovanovic, reiterating that the total surplus in 2010 was USD 1 billion.

Based on the surplus achieved so far and the dynamics of trade, we expect the surplus to reach USD 1.5 billion by the end of the year, Milovanovic told the journalists, adding that export of agricultural and food products makes up about 25 percent of Serbia’s overall export.

He pointed out that traditionally the leading export products are raspberries, sugar, and lately wheat and corn.
