The Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Aleksandar Antic, said today that the measures taken to help the economy after the virus corona epidemic came at the right time and that he was convinced that they would only show their true strength.
“According to the first signs, including the return to work of employees, it can be clearly seen that employers have very well understood the idea of these measures and abandoned the initial narrowing of their business activities, and with great confidence they look at the state and the measures that will be implemented.” Antic said in a statement.
He added that in the last few years, Serbia has restored its economy, that it was not easy, and that “there were savings and renunciations,” but now it is visible how much it will pay to every company and every citizen.
“Unfortunately, most of the world will be faced with a downturn in the economy and even a new crisis, but I am sure we have already prevented such negative effects, we have the money and now is the right time to help the economy and the population amortize the bad effects of the virus epidemic. I think that, thanks to the measures of the Prime Minister and the Government, Serbia will be in the circle of those countries that will be proud to say that they have readily welcomed the post-pandemic period and that they have acted extremely responsibly towards their economy and their population,” Antic said, Danas reports.
