Former Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic is set to be appointed director of the Serbian Development Agency (RAS), unofficial sources have told Tanjug.
As RAS director, Sertic will deal with incentives for investments and engage in close cooperation with foreign companies wishing to invest in Serbia.
RAS was established this year following the shutting down of two similarly-focused agencies – the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and the National Agency for Regional Development (NARR).
At the beginning of January, the new agency took over all of the approximately 120 projects previously run by the scrapped agencies.
Incumbent RAS Director Milos Petrovic will move to a different position.
