The Commission for Protection of Competition of Serbia announced that it included Gigatron export-import, Tehnomedia, Emeceta (Emmezeta) and XLS in the procedures of investigating the violation of competition, initiated against the companies Comtrade distribution, Roaming Electronics and Technomania.
Analyzing the conditions of competition on the wholesale and retail market of consumer electronics, the Commission determined in 2020 that these goods are offered at the same or approximately the same prices in retail facilities, as well as on the websites of retailers.
The commission suspects that the sellers of consumer electronics did not independently form the retail prices of the products, but in cooperation with the importers and distributors – Comtrade distribution, Roaming electronics and Tehnomania.
“Resale pricing as a special type of distortion of competition can only be done by the supplier and the retailer, in which case the retailer and the supplier are liable for this type of distortion of competition,” the Commission said, N1 reports.
