Srbijagas is indebted 40 million euros for further gasification, News
Today, the Finance Committee of the Serbian Parliament gave its consent to the borrowing of Srbijagas from Intesa and Raiffeisen banks in the amount of up to 40 million euros for the gasification of the Zlatibor district.
The loan is for strengthening the transport capacities of the gas pipeline, and that work in the Zlatibor district is one of the first projects.
The district is one of the few that has a surplus in trade, and gasification will contribute to new investments, relieving the electricity system and further development.
The offers of Intesa and Raiffeisen banks were accepted as the most favorable, and the debts will be repaid within eight years with a three-year grace period.
The General Director of Srbijagas, Dušan Bajatović, previously announced that the works on the gas pipeline from Zlatibor to Prijepolje could start at the beginning of March.
The gasification of the Zlatibor district is the first in a series of projects that are planned within the expansion of the network in Serbia, and the state provides guarantees for that.
It is planned to build distribution pipelines for Priboj, Nova Varos, Prijepolje, Sjenica and Rutoše, Dnevnik reports.
