The Science and Technology Park Belgrade has announced a new invitation for beginners in business (startups) and companies to apply for a program to help the accelerated development of innovative ideas, it was announced today.
Applications for the Raising Starts program, which is implemented with the support of the Government of Switzerland and in partnership with the science and technology parks in Nis and Cacak, are open until December 28.
The program includes training for business development, mentoring and assistance of up to 15,000 Swiss francs to cover costs in developing new products or services.
Startup teams of at least two members and innovative companies established in the last two years can apply for the competition.
“Raising Starts is the first program in Serbia that simultaneously provides professional and financial support to startups in the earliest stages of development, which is one of the preconditions for further development of the local startup ecosystem, since the lack of financial support to teams in the earliest stages of innovation is one of its biggest challenges,” it is stated in the announcement of the Technology Park Belgrade.
At the first public call for the Raising Starts program at the end of 2020, out of 183 registered teams, 13 of them received comprehensive professional and financial support for the accelerated development of innovative ideas. Through several public calls, the program will support the establishment and development of up to 100 new startup companies in the regions of Belgrade, Nis and Cacak in the next three years, N1 reports.
