Telekom Serbia plans to purchase Macedonian Neotel by September

Macedonian operator Neotel by September. By then, the consents and approvals of the competent regulators and commissions should be finalized, writes the TeleSrbija portal.

Telekom Srbija agreed to buy Neotel in March of this year, as the portal Faktor.mk reported at the time.

With the acquisition, Telekom, or MTEL, would take over all the infrastructure, users, rights and obligations of the Macedonian operator.

Telekom Srbija entered the North Macedonian market in the fall of 2021, first with mSAT TV packages, and later with mobile services.

Telekom director Vladimir Lučić confirmed for last week’s NIN that the company plans to take over 100 percent of Globaltel, whose majority owner is Željko Mitrović’s Pink media group.
