The Government of Serbia gives 45 thousand euros for subsidies for organized tourist traffic

Yesterday, the Government of Serbia adopted the Decree on the conditions and manner of allocating and using funds to encourage the improvement of organized tourist traffic on the territory of Serbia, for which a budget of a total of 45 thousand euros is planned, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced.
Minister Tatjana Matic welcomed this decision and added that direct incentives in tourism are necessary, which will enable the recovery of a sector that has a great impact on other economic branches as well.
“Subsidies related to the organization of tourist trips will increase the motivation for bringing foreign guests, but also a more flexible approach in the price policy and a certain degree of amortization of negative price influences,” the minister assessed.
The statement states that based on the decree, travel agencies, organizers of tourist travel, registered on the territory of Serbia, which have the prescribed license, have the right to grant subsidies, after the realization of organized bringing of tourist groups of domestic or foreign tourists (at least 15 tourists).
The subsidy for three to four nights, for an organized tourist trip, or for two to four nights for an international congress, international corporate event, is 15 euros per foreign tourist.
For realized five or more nights, for an organized tourist trip, ie for an international congress, international corporate event, the subsidy per foreign tourist is 20 euros, Politika reports.
