The President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, announced that the “My First Salary” program will start next week, implemented by the Serbian Government in cooperation with the Chamber, and “Sirogojno” will be one of the first companies to open its doors to young unemployed high school and university educated people.
Rade Ljubojevic, the owner and general director of the company “Sirogojno”, whose factory in Rupeljevo near Pozega Cadez visited today, says that this is a program that will be supported by the economy.
With the help of the state, in the form of a salary for those young people, employers will, he points out, get the opportunity to meet them, train them and choose the best among them, and the unemployed will gain their first work experience and a chance to get a job.
The company “Sirogojno” has hired 25 new workers since March, during the pandemic, has a constantly open competition and in the future, developing its business, will increase the number of employees. We will also use the chance to reach quality young people through the “My First Salary” program, said Ljubojevic and invited fellow businessmen to join.
He especially emphasized the support of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which in the past months, during the pandemic, was a great support to companies and entrepreneurs in overcoming and solving the problems they faced in their daily business.
Even those who may have been distrustful before, are now convinced of the value of the chamber as a business association and the importance of the help it provided us in the most difficult circumstances, Ljubojevic added.
PKS President Marko Cadez said that the chamber participated in the creation and will actively work on the implementation of the program “My first salary”, convinced that it will contribute to reducing youth unemployment, help companies get the staff they need, and the unemployed to, with budget support of 170 or 200 euros for the first salary, they enter companies, start writing their CV and gain their first experience, the lack of which was one of the obstacles to employment.
When hiring, everyone, he added, is looking for workers with experience, and this is the only way for young people to gain that experience.
The company “Sirogojno” is one of the best places where a young man can start his career. Because this is one of our most successful companies, the best in the production of frozen and dried fruit, present in the markets of more than 40 countries, the company that exported products worth 22 million euros from January to the end of July, recorded 35% higher export performance than last year, worked at full capacity and hired new workers, said Cadez, Dnevnik reports.
