The number of tourist arrivals in Serbia increased by 48.4 percent

The number of tourist arrivals in Serbia is higher by 48.4 percent in June this year compared to the same month last year, the Republic Bureau of Statistics announced. The number of overnight stays is higher by 39.3 percent.
In June this year, compared to June last year, the number of nights spent by domestic tourists was higher by 12.5 percent, and the number of nights spent by foreign tourists by 270 percent.
According to the data, in June there were 252,927 arrivals in Serbia, of which 171,407 were domestic tourists and 81,520 foreign, while in the first six months there were 988,976 arrivals – 725,202 domestic tourists and 263,774 foreigners.
When it comes to overnight stays, in June there were 780,380 overnight stays, 564,785 domestic tourists and 215,595 foreign, and in the first six months there were 3,106,974 overnight stays, 2,321,545 were realized by domestic and 785,429 by foreign tourists, BiF reports.
