In this year’s sugar beet processing campaign, Sunoko expects about 1.4 million tons of raw materials from about 24,000 hectares of land and 240,000 tons of sugar produced, it was announced today.
Acceptance of sugar beet in the factories in Vrbas, Pecinci and Kovacica has already begun, so all three sugar factories are working in optimal capacity and drought during the summer.
The advantage of the company is also the Research and Development Center, within which a team of scientists and technologists works every day on solutions for obtaining the largest and most successful production.
“The constant work of our colleagues from the raw materials sector in the field together with our Research and Development Center has significantly improved, above all, protection against leaf diseases. Also, this year we have intensified efforts to provide continuous education of producers to achieve an average of 10 tons of sugar per hectare, we have already managed to achieve with producers who have followed our production technology,” said the director of Sunoko Slobodan Kosutic.
When contracting sugar beet production for 2022, Sunoko offers a price of 40 euros per ton of payable beet with a bonus for producers who achieve above-average digestion.
The company announced that it provides producers with the highest quality raw materials under very favorable conditions on the market, interest-free advances for financing production, as well as support for the purchase of agricultural machinery and the lease of agricultural land.
It was pointed out that Sunoko, with its three production centers, is the most efficient sugar producer in Southeast Europe with an annual export of 150,000 tons. Export markets are for the most part a country in the region because the company’s goal is to achieve a leading position in the Balkans, Beta reports.
