On Monday, November 1, the transition period for the transition to the new fiscalization model begins, which will last until April 30 next year.

On that occasion, the Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, stated that everything was ready and that the Tax Administration had approved the first elements of the electronic fiscal device of several different manufacturers.

“We expect that in the coming days, the first taxpayers will switch to the new model, considering that the application for locations and subsidies through the portal of the Tax Administration ePorezi is largely in progress. This is very important news for all of us, for the whole country, for all citizens, because we are one step closer to introducing a new model of fiscalization, which will be invaluable in the fight against the gray economy, and which will benefit the whole society, ” said Mali.

He reminded that it was originally planned to switch to the new fiscalization model from January 1, 2022, but that the voice of the economy was heard and how much time they need to prepare for the transition to the new system, which is why it was decided that to introduce a transition period that will last from November 1 this year to April 30 next year.

Mali also said that taxpayers will not have the cost of switching to the new model, given that the state has provided 50 million euros for subsidies, for which the application will last from January 31, 2022 on the portal of the Tax Administration ePorezi, the Ministry announced.

“In order to apply for subsidies, taxpayers should first, if they have not done so, report data on the locations of sales facilities. They should do it through the portal of the Tax Administration ePorezi. After reporting the location, taxpayers can apply for state subsidies,” said Minister Mali.

He mentioned that the subsidies will be paid regularly, on a weekly level, so that businessmen would not wait, but would receive funds as soon as possible for the transition to the new fiscalization model, Sputnik News reports.
