“Three new foreign investors are coming to Vojvodina”

The American company Ecor Global and the Belgian company Somnis Bedding will invest 80 million euros in Novi Bečej, while the Hungarian company Jastreb is opening a factory in Mali Iđoš worth 11.5 million euros, as reported by eKapija.

According to Aleksandar Sofić, the Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation, and Local Self-Government, the American company Ecor Global, specializing in producing ecological panels from agricultural remains, is coming to Novi Bečej. The construction of the plant involves an investment of over 70 million euros and will create at least 100 new jobs.

The Belgian company Somnis Bedding, engaged in mattress production, will also invest over 10 million euros in Novi Bečej. In the initial phase alone, it is expected to employ 120 workers. Additionally, in Mali Iđoš, there are plans for the construction of a plant for electrode production by the company Jastreb, which will invest 11.5 million euros and create 140 new job positions.

Sofić handed over contracts for co-financing investment projects in industrial-business zones, worth 230 million dinars, to representatives of the municipalities of Mali Iđoš and Novi Bečej.

The allocated funds are designated for the infrastructure development of the work zone in Mali Iđoš and the construction of a section of the road in the Izlaz industrial zone in Novi Bečej.
