Elektroprivreda Srbije, NIS and Deleze are in the top 10 large companies in Serbia in terms of revenue in 2019, according to data from the regional project “100 largest in Serbia”.
They are followed by Tigar Tires, Srbijagas, Telekom Srbija, Nelt CO, Fiat Kragujevac, Jugorosgas and Zidjin.
When it comes to medium-sized companies, in the first place is Gen – I from Belgrade, then Miletic petrol from Paracin, Evolution 2004 from Belgrade, Porsche inter auto S Belgrade and Renault Nissan Serbia from Belgrade.
They are followed by Vimexim from Novi Sad, Anona NNL from Sremska Kamenica, Tarket from Backa Palanka, Vestas Central Europe from Belgrade and Petrol LPG from Belgrade.
The companies are ranked on the basis of the official final accounts they submitted for 2019, project director Ivana Prvanovic told Tanjug.
“We are actually sharing information that has been available to us so far, that is, information that has been processed and published by the Business Registers Agency,” says Prvanovic.
She said that the future of the region is based on joint economic development.
She explained that the project has existed for more than 30 years, and that it is being implemented in Serbia for the second time this year under the slogan “We must move forward”.
She stated that the goal of the project is to promote successful swearing and networking.
“The project is of a regional character and in that sense we deal with different companies on the market. We process data related to large companies, small, medium and micro companies and rank them according to different criteria – revenue, profit and export,” says Prvanovic.
She noted that the project also has some sub-segments such as women in business, Club 100, fast-growing companies and cities and municipalities in business.
Prvanovic says that the epidemic of the corona virus has affected various activities, that the tourism and hotel sector is most endangered.
“There are industries that suffered in certain periods when the measures implemented by the state were stronger, but we will have some final results for 2020 only next year,” said Prvanovic.
She said that the goal of the project is regional networking, promotion, affirmation and education of businessmen.
“The whole initiative related to ‘little Schengen’ is in our favor because we are trying to achieve what has existed in the EU for a long time, and that is the free flow of goods, people and services on the single market,” says Prvanovic.
He believes that only in this way can we compete with some other markets and position ourselves better on the world market.
When asked where the companies are in Serbia in relation to the region, Prvanovic says that Serbia is in the lead, because it is more numerous and has a larger number of companies.
She stated that there are already a large number of companies operating in different countries in the region.
“They are connecting, all with the goal of increasing capital, strengthening and striving to come out better, smarter, more ready and more capable than the united market tomorrow,” concluded Prvanovic.
According to the project, the total revenue generated by the 600 most successful companies in the region in 2019 is more than 112.7 billion euros.
In Serbia, the 100 largest generated revenues of 24.6 billion euros, in Slovenia 32.4, Croatia 29.8, Bosnia and Herzegovina 12.4, Northern Macedonia 9.5 and in Montenegro four billion euros.
The project “100 largest in Serbia and the region” is being implemented by Poslovne novine in cooperation with the analytical partner, the credit rating agency CubeTeam, RTV reports.
