Two Airbus A319 planes, previously operated by Adria Airways, were delivered to the national airline Air Serbia.
The planes, which arrived from Toulouse on Friday, were originally supposed to be delivered in March, but that was postponed due to the corona virus pandemic. Both planes were manufactured in 2010 and are owned by Carlisle Aviation Partners.
They will be registered as YU-APL and YU-APM. Adria was delivered ten years ago and worked under S5-AAP and S5-AAR registrations until the company declared bankruptcy in September 2019. Air Serbia added its ninth A319 last year, reports the Ex-Yu Aviation portal.
Following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Air Serbia returned the Airbus A320 and ATR72 to the owners, as its lease expired. In addition, one of the remaining three Boeing 737-300s in Air Serbia’s fleet has not flown since the pandemic began and that he will not even return to service.
The other two Boeings are still used, mainly on charter flights, but are also regularly deployed on flights to Podgorica and Dusseldorf, Dnevnik reports.
